Every morning when I get out of bed
I see your beautiful shining face
I feel your breath gently kiss my cheek
And you gently caress me
Your love surrounds me and fills the room
I get a tingly feeling as you pass your hand across my face
Letting me know you care
I can’t thank you enough for being there
Where have I been all your life?
Before I met you I was bare
A void inside this fleshly vessel
That you filled with love and joy indescribable
What have I done to deserve such attention?
Why didn’t I notice you before, when I was young?
‘Cause now you really got me sprung
People may say I’m a fool
But at least I’m a fool for you
They don’t see you
For whom you really are, Marvelous Light
So they don’t understand how I could love someone like you
But at least you understand me, even if I don’t understand you sometimes
Which I’m so grateful for
The One who sees past my faults
The One who brought my spinning world to a screeching halt
The One who carried me when I was down
Your love lifted me higher than I’ve ever been before
Made me take the Book of Life off the shelves
And now I’m on cloud 9, 10, 11, and 12
“Well you look happy,” that’s what they tell me
Well I should be, you see ‘cause
I may not carry symbols of my love for you
But it doesn’t mean I’m ashamed
People carry symbols of love in vain
My love for you goes deeper than a gold chain, with your name
Deeper than a tattoo of you
Or that symbol of your pain, for your love for me, a/cross my back
My love grows deeper everyday it sets me free, sends me soarin’ high
High, High, Higher than the stars past the sky
I love you more than the time it takes for a star to die
And the intergalactic skies can’t even exemplify the heights my love for you
Fly To You, I run to you to escape the world. You take this girl and you make me whole
You speak to my spirit, and your Spirit speaks to me
…through me, past my idiosyncrasies, taking me to a place that the world has no say in
Greater are you and you love for me, than that which is in the world, nothing but sex drugs violence and TV, what that got to do with me?
It’s just you and me, My God, what an army!
